The centre is a smooth domed disc printed with a fine orange-on-gold sunburst — dozens of rays running out from a single point, glazed over so it catches the light like enamel. Around it, small ruby-red faceted beads, coral seed beads and white pearls sit in tidy double rows, closed off with gold cone caps. The thread is the traditional red-and-yellow twisted mauli rather than plain silk, which is what gives this one its temple feel. Light, flat and easy to wear.
