The centre is a chakra — a six-petal lotus turning inside a ring of fine gold beadwork, cut into deep maroon meenakari. The border is worked all the way round, so it looks finished from any angle. Beside it sit sapphire blue beads, textured pearl-white balls and two magenta pearls, capped in gold on a full crimson silk thread with a heavy tassel. Richer-looking than its price.
